| Using the search function.
The search function situated on the home page allows
up to 5 search parameters as follows:
- Select Main Industry Category (allows you to refine
businesses by the selected discipline.)
- Select Sub Industry Category (allows you to refine
businesses by the selected secondary discipline.)
- Select State (allows you to refine businesses by
state)
- Keyword search (allows you to search for keywords
in the Business name, postcode and description fields)
Each search parameter can be ignored by not selecting
from the list. The more search parameters you use, the
more refined your search will be. Please note: multiple
records for one business may be returned due to this
business having several state/region locations associated
with their profile.
The search parameters will be taken with a logical AND
relationship, so that if three parameters are specified,
then all three parameters must match in the client database
for a client to be selected for a match against the
search criteria.
The keyword search will be made against as many characters
as entered. Hence, "Melb" would match "Melbourne",
and "ABC" would match "ABC Inc (Aust)".
The keyword will be matched against the contents of
the Description, business name and postcode fields.
Text matching is case insensitive.

website you will need to be an existing CCI member. If you are an existing CCI member and wish to access Business Finder, contact CCI at CCI Support. Using your existing login details, you can access your account here. Here you can enter
business information. When entering the description
of Business Activities and Services please include a
detailed description of business expertise to allow
a keyword search of your company's area of speciality.
Please note: A CCI Business Finder administrator
will need to verify your business profile before your
business profile is viewable online.
